Election Commission of India Has Taken Strict Steps for 2012 Assembly Election

Election Commission of India has Passed Strict Orders:

Elections of Indian Assembly for 2012 has been declared in 5 States of India. Election Commission of India has taken strict action and passed the following orders:

1) During service 4.5% sub quota in OBC reservation quota for Muslims has been stayed by the Election Commission in 5 States where election is going to be held in February 2012 and March 2012. Election Commission has made it Clear that this is not a case of violation of Code of Conduct as the decision of sub-quota reservation is taken on 22-12-2011 and Code of Conduct implemented from 24-12-2011.

2) Election Commission has passed the order for UP election that all the statues of Elephants (Election Symbol for BSP) including the statues of Mayawati (Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) should be covered by polythene and where it is not possible that park etc to be closed till further orders.
